Tommy Harwood’s Love of Travel

· Professor

Tommy Harwood is not only an outstanding historian and professor, but he is an avid traveler, as well. Though he spends the vast majority of his time pursuing research and teaching young adults as a professor of history, Tommy always makes a point to travel at least three times a year. As an expert in European history, he is fluent in German, Italian, Russian, and French, which has empowered him to experience the cultural and historical heritage of many areas throughout Europe during his traveling adventures.

While studying to obtain his Ph.D. in European history, Tommy Harwood was lucky enough to get the chance to spend several months studying in many areas of Europe. During his time abroad, he ventured throughout numerous historically rich European cities, such as Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Venice, Valencia, Paris, Versailles, Munich, London, Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Florence, Edinburgh, Saint Petersburg, Nice, Moscow, Hamburg, Brussels, Naples, Nuremberg, Milan, Bristol, and more. He regards his traveling experiences as profoundly enriching on numerous levels.

Tommy Harwood’s Love of Travel

Even though he has traveled extensively thus far, Tommy has no plans to stop exploring the world and the cultures in it. As a person who loves learning, he is planning to become fluent in Spanish and return to the beautiful cities of Valencia, Madrid, and Barcelona. Tommy Harwood also hopes to broaden his horizons even further by exploring more Eastern European countries, such as Greece and Ukraine. In addition, he aspires to learn more about Chinese, Japanese, and Korean culture and history by visiting the continent of Asia in the upcoming future.
